OBJECTIVES

Mechanical Material Characterization This experiment explores the use of strain gauges for the measurement of strain and the determination of mechanical material characteristics.

The system allows the experimental verification of Hooke’s law and illustrates the procedure used for experimental determination of the Young modulus.
